At Saint Francis we believe that education is an important way to grow in our faith at any age.

Adult Education

Education for Ministry (EfM) – Every baptized person is called to ministry.  The School of Theology of the University of the South offers this extension program to provide a foundation to support that ministry.  Participants read course materials in the Old and New Testaments, church history, and theology, and meet for weekly seminars to discuss the readings and reflect on their implications for ministry.  The course runs four years, with enrollment for one year at a time.  Seminar groups are limited to twelve persons.  Interested in EfM or have questions?  Contact Betty Bond

Adult Sunday School – Adult Sunday School class is offered for adults in the Parish Hall between services from 9:45 am until 10:30. The class is headed by our clergy and we often have special guest speakers.  The class format is designed to encourage conversation about our faith as well as lessons from the Bible.  Come join us to coffee, refreshments, and spiritual growth.  To learn more contact The Reverend, Deacon Judy Lee.

Education for Children and Youth

Children’s Sunday School – Children’s’  Sunday School is offered for children of all ages during the same period of time that the adults are meeting in the Parish Hall, from 9:45 am until 10:30 am.   We have some wonderful teachers with great lessons to teach each week. Children may be dropped off in the Parish Hall and our teachers will take them to their classroom. To find out more about Children’s Sunday School contact Marco Palmer

Children’s Church – During the second service children are invited to participate in Children’s Church.  Children’s Church follows the Worship Service but in a way that encourages participation and hands-on activities.  Two Children’s Church classes are available:  a class for children aged 3 and 4 years, and a class for children aged 5 to 8 years.  Older children are encouraged to join to regular service.  If you have questions about Children’s Church contact Jammye Holmes.
